I have to say I've very recently watched the firefly series on DVD and re watched the movie Serenity-also awaiting the arrival of the comic series book Serenity-those left behide. I think I may be a browncoat too lol. Anyway thing is I must of been to absorbed by what I think is a cracking storyline in the series and film cause the similarities you have pointed out between Rivers symptoms and autism are glaringly obvious now i think back but just hadn't occured to me then. "Whole and not broken" fantastic quote. very interesting 'fluffiness' ;) thanks

I was a very active fan of Firefly during its short run and like you, really enjoyed Serenity. "Whole and not broken" resonated pretty strongly over here as well.

I appreciate this. I have kind of a "fluffy" mind. Jannalous suggested I watch "Serenity", also.

Not that we see too many movies around here but I'm intrigued after reading your post.......... autism or nor.

"'Whole and not broken'" is a fine way to put it.
